Overview

Gray Construction is looking to add a Pre-Construction Services Manager to their Fullerton, CA office.

  • Review’s data and drawings to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists of cost estimates.
  • Evaluate multiple proposals for multiple trades to formulate bid analysis in determining the subcontractors who have the cost & scope covered, for proposal efforts and awarding subcontracts.
  • Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, change order pricing, vendors or subcontractors agreement, and determining cost effectiveness.
  • Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
  • Develop & deliver presentations internally and externally with customers.
  • Total understanding of all divisions of work and is able to extract required information from Customer’s to develop a “Request for Proposal”.
  • Can provide conceptual estimates and project scope from limited Customer information within 24 hours.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or minimum five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet and e-mail applications.  May also be required to utilize software applications specific to the estimating field.

Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled.   Overtime may be required.

The wage range for this role takes into account a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; as well as other business and organizational needs.  The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.  It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  A reasonable estimate of the current range is 110K to 160K annually.
