Gray Construction is looking to at a Project Controls Engineer to their team in Lexington, KY.

What we expect… (Essential Functions)

  • Assist the project management team in developing the project cost work breakdown structure and job cost set up
  • Develop project invoice schedule of values
  • Coordinate subcontractor prequalification enrollment
  • Manage the project cost tracking log
  • Manage subcontract and vendor invoices
  • Prepare project change request and customer change orders
  • Prepare commitment change orders
  • Prepare subcontract and PO requisition
  • Trend project cost and report deviations from plan
  • Complete project cost segregation for project close out
  • Manage project tax incentives and reporting where applicable
  • Prepare projects for close-out including review of commitments, cost, and contract values
  • Provide support for job cost audits and project-specific cost reporting requirements
  • Prepare bi-weekly project financial reports

While performing the duties of this position, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands or arms and talk or hear.  They may occasionally be required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.  Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision.

 

Generally, normal office environment where noise level is moderate and temperature/humidity is controlled. Overtime may be required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Who we want… (Requirements)

The successful candidate will have (2) years of experience in accounting.

 

Must possess basic computer skills including the ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheets, software and e-mail.  The selected candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills. Must be physically present in the Lexington office.
